I completed my undergraduate, graduate and medical education in Alabama. I graduated from The University of Alabama with an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and a graduate degree in Human and Environmental Sciences. I graduated from The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine with my medical degree in 2013. I completed a Family Medicine Residency at the Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency Program at The University of Alabama in 2016.
My professional interests center around women’s health and skin care concerns. While I am not a gynecologist or dermatologist, I respect and have a great deal of interest in those fields.
Since high school, I had an interest in the medical field. This grew overtime while I worked as a medical receptionist and office assistant at the University of Alabama Medical Center while I was studying my undergraduate degree. During that time, I experienced various aspects of the medical field and my interest in direct patient care developed. While working in that position, my boss, Amelia, took interest in my career goals and encouraged me to pursue a medical degree. I will always be thankful that she recognized something in me and helped me accomplish a goal I did not realize I had at the time.
My main interests are reading and outdoor activities. Whether it is yardwork on the weekend with my husband or biking with our fearless dog, Riley, if the sun is out, my preference is to be outdoors soaking up vitamin D.

Charles has a keen interest in sports injuries and performance. He was a former Team Physiotherapist for the Vancouver Whitecaps and was involved with the club from 2015-2021. His position allowed him to work along the full athlete development pathway and worked with players from the Academy all the way through to the professionals on the First Team. He credits much of his physiotherapy philosophy and approach from mentoring under Dr. Rick Celebrini, current VP of Player Health and Performance with the Golden State Warriors.
Charles is a strong believer in “movement is medicine” and saw a career in physiotherapy as the perfect avenue for its application in helping people achieve their goals.
When not in the clinic, Charles enjoys playing a variety of sports and challenging himself in physical endeavours outside of his comfort zone. Currently, he is hoping to participate in more triathlon race events.

To constantly expand his skillset, Jayten is engaged in reading the latest cutting-edge research as well as taking continuing education courses to stay informed of the best practices to ultimately help his clients achieve their goals. He uses manual therapy (IMS, massage, joint mobilization/manipulation), movement, education and mindfulness in his treatment sessions. Jayten will push you to your potential in the clinic. He is very hands-on and likes showing patients how strong and robust their bodies really are. He has a very unique treatment approach by making rehab exercises fun and spends a lot of time educating his patients, knowing that the key to exercise adherence and a healthy lifestyle is making activities enjoyable and meaningful to the patient. The 3 core principles behind his treatment plan are; 1) Education, 2) Empowerment, and 3) Exercise.
Recently Jayten is developing a niche for treating concussions and mild traumatic brain injuries. he has a lot of experience working with sports concussions and also motor vehicle accident injuries. The most undermined variable of symptom reproduction is psychological. He finds the key is teaching his patients ‘why’ they are getting the symptoms they are experiencing and then implementing the required rehab.
I’m the biggest nerd when it comes to learning about the human body and mind. My mind is always thinking about how to self-optimize the body and brain.
More than just my obsession with sports, health, fitness and wellness, I have a deep yearning passion to help others. Whatever I can learn and teach I want to pass that down to all of my patients, colleagues, friends and family in the community. There’s a very famous quote I grew up with around my family, ”People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care”. If I ever get a chance to meet you, I promise I will listen, understand and do everything in my power to allow you to live a healthier and happier life.
I’m super passionate about basketball, both playing and watching. I’m probably the biggest Kobe Bryant fan you’ve ever met. During the summers I spend a lot of time road biking and have competed in numerous races. Interestingly enough I took up magic during the pandemic. Having travelled to over 34 countries, I love to travel, whether it’s around the world or in our backyard of British Columbia

Edmund believes that the best way to restore movement and return clients to their former lifestyle is through an active rehabilitation approach. His physiotherapy treatment emphasizes a personalized exercise plan, soft-tissue release and manual therapy techniques with various specific approaches to manage and treat specific symptoms.
Edmund has completed advanced training courses for shoulder, neck, and low back conditions/injuries and has a special interest in dance and volleyball related injuries.
I wanted a job where I would gain the knowledge and skills to fix people and not lose interest over the years. After 5 years in the field, I can happily say this career is only becoming more enjoyable.
There is an unending pool of knowledge to tap into and patients are always coming in with unique presentations and stories. Almost never a dull day.
Plus I get immense satisfaction when I hear a patient has been able to return back to their normal activities and lifestyle.
I was a competitive ballroom dancer for 10 years but since the pandemic I’ve shifted gears and started playing a lot of volleyball and some tennis. When I’m stuck at home I play a lot of video games.
I’m currently working with a volleyball U17 club team

After highschool, she moved to Vancouver to attend Simon Fraser University, where she received her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry. She was a member of SFU’s Div. 2 NCAA Varsity Swim Team and during that time, was named Most Valuable Player and achieved All-American Status on multiple occasions. After completing her undergraduate studies, Dr. Ni underwent the 4-year program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (Boucher Campus) to receive her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine. During her last year of study, she spent 8 months at the Canadian Pain and Regenerative Institute (CPRI) to further her understanding of chronic pain and sports medicine.
Dr. Ni believes modern healthcare necessitates a blend of conventional medicine with evidence-based naturopathic medicine and she is committed to providing compassionate, attentive care. She encourages patients to take an active role in their health, and is a strong believer in the body’s capacity to heal and adapt. Dr. Ni enjoys dealing with a variety of conditions, and her varied toolbox allows her to create comprehensive treatment plans centered around the patient’s specific goals. She has a particular interest in chronic myofascial pain conditions, autoimmune conditions and mood disorders.

Dr. Ni started her undergraduate with the intent to enter the field research and development within skincare. However, as her education progressed, she realized that skin health and overall health was more than the products purchasable in stores. She developed a passion for helping people obtain better health in many areas and found that Naturopathic Medicine’s broad scope of practice allowed for this. Dr. Ni is a lifelong learner and believes that practicing medicine is the greatest privilege, as she is able to learn from not only the literature, but also from her patient’s experiences.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Ni enjoys an active lifestyle and one can often find her hiking, reading, spending time with friends and family, or indulging in desserts.

After completing my undergraduate degree in anatomy and cell biology at McGill University, I considered going into physiotherapy first before completing both a Doctor of Chiropractic as well as a Master of Sports Medicine at the University of Western States in Portland Oregon.
As for how I practice, evidence-based patient-centered care is at the top of my priority. Rehabilitation is also something I try to incorporate in every treatment as soon as possible because I believe that it is key in empowering the patient and giving them control of their own recovery.
When not at the clinic, you can find me going for a run or out on a hike. Martial arts, swimming, and piano are also things that I have enjoyed and would like to pick up again when I have the time.
