Dr. Paul Manhas
Dr. Paul Manhas was born at Royal Columbian Hospital and raised in Coquitlam BC. He graduated elementary school at Cape Horn Elementary, middle school at Montgomery Middle School and High School at Centennial Secondary. He then obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. Following that, he obtained a Masters in Science and Medical Degree from Saba University School of Medicine. He completed residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Alabama with a focus on Sports Medicine and Pediatrics. Paul is a currently a Clinical Instructor with UBC’s Faculty of Medicine and teaches family medicine residents in clinic.
Dr. Paul Manhas enjoys caring for pediatric and geriatric patient populations. He has an interest in sports medicine and performs large joint injections, including with platelet rich plasma. He enjoys doing skin and nail procedures such as biopsy, cryotherapy and botox.
Inspiration for Going into Medicine
Dr. Paul looked up to his family physician as a role model at a young age. Having suffered several injuries growing up playing competitive ice hockey and soccer, he grew an interest in sports medicine. He is now driven to provide mentorship and support for children and young teens in Coquitlam and the Tricities.
Away from the clinic he enjoys working out, playing tennis, watching movies and cooking.
