At Manhas Health Co, we are passionate about helping our clients work towards their dream body. We understand the importance of healthy fuels and the importance of timing around exercise. This is why we have decided to offer smoothies at our 2nd floor gym. Our menu was created by our physicians and features fresh, wholesome ingredients. Whether you are looking for a healthy lunch time alternative, need fuel after your workout or are waiting on your doctor, a healthy nutrient packed smoothie may be your solution!
Our physicians have tested the market extensively for the highest quality and lowest processed protein powders. Our body is not designed to break down highly processed and highly synthetic “food”. Our body deserves and needs fresh fuel, just like your favorite car performs better with premium food and fully synthetic oil. At our smoothie bar, we only trust 2 Protein Brands: Proline Advanced Nutrition and Diesel by Perfect Sports . These proteins only use the highest quality whey protein, feature natural sweeteners (like monk fruit) and do not have added chemicals and binders.
Check out our products page if you’re interested in buying a clean protein option for home.
In addition to clean protein, we have tried our best to use only wholesome ingredients to flavor our smoothies. We used fresh fruit, dates, cinnamon, coconut oil and nut butters (almond and peanut) to make our smoothies taste great and provide ideal nutrients.
Several scientific studies have shown the importance of consuming both protein and carbohydrates post work out. Proteins can help build the muscles you have used during your work out. By consuming carbohydrates after exercise, you help replenish your muscle and liver stores of glycogen. Glycogen is a storage molecule which will help fuel your muscles with ATP (your bodies main energy source) during your next work out.
High protein meals have also been shown to keep you full for longer. Smoothies made with high quality protein and fresh ingredients make a perfect lunch or morning alternative.
